On Thursday 30th July we’re going to carry on the success of our ‘SPRUCE up the Subway..& more!’ event, by holding a second Community Clean Up.
Working with Agenda 21 and with support from Barking and Dagenham Council we will:
– collect rubbish into a skip on loan from the borough and plan for other interventions that will help to improve the area
Everyone is welcome to attend, the more people we have the more we can get done! We’ll provide clean up kits, rubbish bags, pickers, gloves and refreshments but please come wearing old clothes and shoes.
Where and when?
10am – 12pm – the Portacabin, Tantony Green
We hope this will build on the pride and positive identity of the Marks Gate community and surrounding neighbourhood! Do bring your neighbours along and help to spread the word.
If you have any questions about the day please call Phillippa on 07789 653888 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Phillippa Banister will also be having a fresh start as she is beginning a new role as a Senior Project Officer for Sustrans.
Louise Gold will be taking over the Marks Gate project so please get in touch if you want to get involved in DIY Streets Marks Gate more broadly.
Look out for this face and come and say hi!
We’ve been out walking today to get to know Marks Gate and the community.
We hope to see you at our next community pop-up event. In the meantime get in touch:
